| Effective January 1, 2008: Construction and Post-Construction Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance Regulating Discharges to the Municipal Separate Stormwater Drainage System (MS4) to Prevent and/or Minimize Pollution from Stormwater Runoff. The Bossier Parish Police Jury has adopted a construction and post-construction ordinance regulating discharges to the municipal separate stormwater drainage system (MS4), to prevent and/or minimize pollution from stormwater runoff, to be effective January 1, 2008. These regulations apply to "Urbanized Areas" only, which are defined as areas of the parish with the population density which requires coverage of the Stormwater Management Program. Update: On December 12, 2007, both the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and the Federal Highway Administration have agreed to proceed with the draft Environmental Assessment study identifying Alternative No. 2 as the preferred alternative. This is an important event in the process. As a result, the draft report will be finalized, reviewed by these two governmental agencies, and will then be displayed for a 30-day mandatory public review period.
